Looking for an Alzheimer’s care centre? Discover how we care at Humanis Care
When someone is living with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia, choosing support involves more than understanding a diagnosis. Memory, communication, mood and everyday abilities can change differently for each person. Their family’s questions and needs may change too.
At Humanis Care, we support people with these needs in residences and specialist units. To guide their care, we consider their clinical and practical needs alongside their history, routines and remaining abilities. We review their care plan as their situation evolves.
What care might a person with dementia need?
Alzheimer’s disease is one cause of dementia, but different forms have different causes and do not affect everyone in the same way. It matters to understand what each person can do, where they need help and how they are feeling. This assessment helps us adapt day-to-day support.
In our care settings, we combine health monitoring, personal support and activities adapted to each resident’s needs. We aim to help them take part in daily life and support their independence wherever possible. Families also need clear information to understand changes and participate in decisions when appropriate.

How do we organise care at Humanis Care?
Understanding each person
We learn about each person’s situation, life history, habits and preferences to shape a care plan around their individual needs.
Everyday support
We adapt routines and help with daily activities to each resident’s abilities, needs and preferences, respecting their way of life.
Coordinated care
Psychiatry, psychology, specialist nursing, occupational therapy and social work contribute according to individual needs.
Adapted activities
We offer activities based on what each person can and wants to do, respecting their interests and their preferred pace of participation.
Reviewing care
The team monitors each person’s progress and adapts the care plan as their cognitive, functional or emotional needs change.
Family support
We listen to families’ questions and share information about daily care so they understand how their loved one is being supported.
